Love can be happiness
and can sometimes hurt;
It can be a betrayal
There for you seek comfort.
Love can change your life
and be the the happiest you've ever been;
Love can change your personality
And be someone no one has ever seen.
Love can make you strong
When you have someone by your side;
Love can make something beautiful
That neither will have denied.
Love can bring you joy
Even at the saddest times;
Love can make you smile
Even while writing these rhymes.
Love is trust
And the truth must always be told;
Together both can work through anything
And lies must you never hold.
Love is a feeling
And a word with meaning;
Love can be good and bad
But something everyone believes in.
There are so many words
That can describe how I feel;
But happiness is one
I can definitely reveal.
You brightened up my life
In way no one will understand;
I will do anything for you
As my best friend, lover even husband.
My heart has been broken before
And you have made it whole;
With the kindness in your heart
And your beautiful soul.
The tears I cry now
Are of how happy I have become;
You will always be in my life
And remain to get a special welcome.
Whenever I am down
I can always run to you;
